MG Sleeved XPower Exhausts

I bought a car with newish Power Exhausts. The downside is that they are sleeved (tube pushed into bypass the baffles), in the interests of noise.

A great idea, but oppressive when driving any serious miles.

Default Re: Sleeved XPower Exhausts

I found the same years ago when I fitted an X Power back box to my ZR. Great around town and on country roads but a little annoying on long motorway journeys.

MG Re: Sleeved XPower Exhausts

I had hoped the sleeves had been taken out. However, irrespective of this I think they are too noisy.

ZERO exhausts make a more sensible variant - but I can't justify anymore spending on the car.

Arrow Re: Sleeved XPower Exhausts

Took the exhausts off and found the sleeves were still in situ. I have heard they fall out, but not in my case.

Molegrips and a bench vice holding the molegrips and I removed the SLEEVE.

I don't understand why you want to make what is already a loud exhaust even louder.

Will drive it for a while and see what I think.
