Default A certain funny?? shoping experience

The following activity, as regularly undertaken by many couples can lead to difficulties in a relationship:

The female partner decides a new item of furniture is required and there is this large store from Sweden that does it at low prices. It is strongly suggested that a weekend day - usually reserved for sporting or car activities - is set aside to visit.

Couple drive to store and park. As usual, items purchased and being loaded into adjacent cars, trolleys and children can result in a door denting experience. Grr!

Enter shop. This place is laid out so that ALL of it needs to be toured - Female decides that a detailed review of all items is required. Male starts getting pains in wallet. An item is chosen!!! Then come the extras - draws, cupboards etc and that thing that was "only" say 50 quickly becomes 200. Will it fit in the car?? Grrrr.

The furniture tour is completed and man relaxes but alas, a whole plethora of kitchen items appears next. more and Grrrr.

THEN

the fabric section - just what does she see in that - GRRRRR

And finally the cheap low energy light bulbs that don't fit any of your light fittings or lampshades - GRRRRRR

So to the warehouse with list.

Large boxes are loaded onto trolley - Man says "this will NEVER fit in the car" Woman GRRRRR

Checkout:
Original "cheap" unit - 50 now 200
Other furniture items 150
Kitchen stuff 50
Fabrics 50
Lightbulb 1.99

Man GRRRRRRRRR

Now the statutory hot dog and coke. If kids are present this was used as a bribe to keep them quiet in the shop. However, it is now late and it is time to load the car. Kids are in car, eating hot dog and "helping" to load. Ketchup mustard and mayo all over car. GRRRRRRRR

By some miracle and dented trim, car is loaded.

Later:

Open flat packs. No instructions, try to build from top to bottom but find it must be built from inside out on its side. Not enough room to build on side GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Move all contents of another room to build item. Build it then need to slide into small room. Damn thing just will not fit. Saying "I told you so" is not the right answer.

There cannot be a happy ending.

Sounds familiar??
