My car insurance is due in a couple of months, i have always had fully comp insurance, but due to the low value of MG's now is it worth it as it wont take much damage to write it off ?
Or would Third Party F&T be better?
IMO generalisations don't work for car insurance; get comparative quotes - use a comparison site - and then you can decide. For anyone over about 30 it makes little difference in cost.
In my opinion it's better to go Full comp and increase your voluntary excess. Mine's at £700 which basically means I'm prepared to write her off. But if I spend money on her (new belts, etc) then I might think about decreasing the excess. Tbh, with most companies you won't save much by going 3rd party. I remember getting a 3rd party quote from one insurer that was actually higher than their fully comp quote!!
T P F & Theft will cost you more in a lot of cases. Try Quote Me Happy .com mine came out at under £200 when I had her. Insurance generally has gone cheaper for us blokes now that we got equality with the ladies.
I always find my is a bit more as it has been modified a bit, different wheels & real spoiler to manufacturers standard.
L & V i am with at the moment was £275 fully comp, full no claims and no points
Hi,
When you're policies due for renewal please fee free to give us a try if you like.
If you wanted to PM me your details nearer the time I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
We'll be able to go through all the options for you.
Regards,
Dan.
