Default Hello!

Hi,
New to the forum so thought ide say hi.
Been using great information from this forum for a while now to help my project.

I'm currently building a 1400 zr rally car. I already compete as a co-driver in a B13 impreza but want to get my own slice of the cake!

I have a few gearbox questions and the like but I'm hoping I may also help someone else out one day too

Thanks

Nick

Hi and welcome to the forum

What do you need to know about the gearbox?

James

Hi James, thanks.

I have a zr160 pg1 box but I need to get the ratio closer. I won't need anymore than 100mph. I've searched everywhere for a decent answer but no luck. Which gearset combination can I use with the 4.2 final drive? If I don't do something it will be too sluggish getting out the tight stuff.

Thanks

I thought the 1.4 used the other box IB5 or what ever it's called.

May well have been changed?
The 160vvc is the shortest set in a rover box. 0.848 5th and 4.2 fd.

If you want shorter still then quaife or similar do gear kits.
