Default Stebel Nautilus Compact Horn

Fitted a Stebel Nautilus compact to the 180. Car came with twin horns as standard, but I fancied something a tad louder.

No sound clip as of yet but it's f***ing loud.

It draws around 18A at 12V, so I decided agaisnt leaving the low-tone standard in place as I couldn't be arsed to modify the existing loom and relay.

Allegedly 115 Db at 2 metres

Already put it to good use a couple of times, although I must admit my thumbs are now beginning to naturally hover over the horn buttons in anticipation

The best place I found to fit it was infront of the n/s splashguard where the resonator box once lived.

As mine is an 03 MK1, the alarm sounder is actually the horn. I am yet to set the alarm off but I suspect it would be very loud

If you still have the resonator box, the horn can befitted under the battery tray. IT WILL NOT FIT BEHIND THE BUMPER. The blue cloud still hangs over the West Midlands from when I attempted to fit it behind the bumper.

Is there an actual law that states how loud or quiet your car horn can be?
